Before we begin, let us make it clear that this tutorial is primarily for those people who have more than one version ofPowerPoint installed on their Mac. Follow these steps to set PowerPoint 2016 for Mac as your defaultversion:

1. Locate any PowerPoint file in Finder, and select it as can be seen in Figure 2, below.

5. You can choose to change the default application to any of the options listed in this drop-down list. If theapplication you want to use as the default is not listed, you can click the Other option that lets you navigate andchoose another application from the Applications folder.
